The desk has been striped back to the original wood and is painted on the top beautiful and solid and old. Could be replaced with a piece of leather easily. Two knobs are missing but you dont really notice. Also included is a beautiful chair, the velvet on this may be original, has been turned gold (dont believe the gold is original) but the seat still feels the original spring and possible hay/hair filled, has the hessian on the base and has little caster wheels on the front two legs. Seat does have a couple of small holes in the velvet on the corners but does not effect at all. It really is a stunning pair and if you are looking for something a little bit different, this is really beautiful. Grab a bargain this is for both pieces!
