Here we have a truly stunning heavily gilded giltmetal mirror made in Italy. It has an old label to the back marked “Placcato Oro” which translates to “Gold plated”. I would assume this dates to somewhere around the 1960’s-70’s. I adore this mirror, it’s an absolutely gorgeous piece in the regency/rococo style, the photo’s don’t do it justice whatsoever! It features a wonderful ornate heavily gilded design with fanned leaf to the top and scrolled leaf decoration all around.
