This is a fabulous pair of vintage French long curtain tie backs which date I believe from the early 1900’s and are beautifully decorated with acanthus leaves, swirls and more which are on the back fixing plate, the arm of the holder and the end of the loop which has further decoration. These original curtain tie backs are getting harder and harder to find, these are in excellent used condition for their age. They are very heavy and solid. The have both tarnished and rubbed slightly with the passage of time and now have a look that only time can give, I have left it in the condition that I found it and think they are great just as they are but should you wish to clean, polish or even distress and even repaint them, they would look equally magnificent.
