A gorgeous Victorian brooch featuring a faceted oval amethyst interwoven amongst gold beads and seed pearls in a gorgeous ribbon design. This brooch is marked 9k and signed E. S. B. I have imported it from England but it does not bear British hallmarks. The brooch measures approximately 1.75 from end to end and is in good condition save two tiny missing pearls. It is missing its original safety chain. It features an old style C-clasp. The amethyst measures about 10mm at its largest point. The weight of the brooch is approximately 2.68 grams.
