Upcycled 1950’s beautiful ornate oval metal mirror. Hand painted in Annie Sloan Old White as a base and Shabby Chic Antique Gold chalk paint on top, the mirror has been given a distressed look which shows the old white paint through the gold. It has been given a protective seal with a dead flat varnish for durability then finished with Annie Sloan clear and dark wax to create an aged look, highlighted with Annie Sloan Bright Gold gilding wax. Being a vintage item the mirror and outer frame carries imperfections which adds to its authenticity and charm, some of the original metal design has been worn/damaged, the mirror has a few small dark age marks and some chips which are on the outer edge but they are mostly covered by the frame (see photos).
